Mala Kumar works on the GitHub Social Impact team as the Director of Tech for Social Good, which is a portfolio of programs that leverages GitHub’s platform, products, community, and people to strengthen the social sector’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to joining GitHub, Mala worked as a UX researcher and designer in tech for international development, mostly for the United Nations.
